The Oneida County Democratic Committee is announcing the full list of offices for which it is seeking Democratic candidates for the 2026 election cycle. The Committee is beginning its recruitment and endorsement process and is encouraging interested Democrats to step forward.
The following positions are those that will be on the ballot in 2026 and for which the Committee is seeking candidates:

Representative in US Congress, 21st District
State Senator, 53rd District
Member of State Assembly, 117th District

Oneida County Board of Legislators
County Legislator, District 1 – Vernon and Parts of Verona
County Legislator, District 2 – Augusta, Marshall, Sangerfield, and Parts of Kirkland
County Legislator, District 3 – Vienna and Parts of Rome and Verona
County Legislator, District 4 – Parts of Rome and Verona
County Legislator, District 5 – Annsville, Camden, Florence, and Part of Lee
County Legislator, District 6 – Ava, Boonville, Forestport, Remsen, and Steuben
County Legislator, District 7 – Parts of Lee and Rome
County Legislator, District 8 – Marcy and Parts of Utica and Whitestown
County Legislator, District 9 – Deerfield, Trenton, and Part of Floyd

The Committee is dedicated to supporting qualified, community-minded individuals who are ready to serve. We encourage any such individuals who are interested in running on the Democratic Party line for any of the abovementioned positions to email a Letter of Intent to oneidacountydemocrats@gmail.com by no later than Monday, January 19, 2026. Alternatively, prospective candidates may mail a Letter of Intent to the following physical address by the same deadline:

2. Office Sought
3. Mailing Address
4. Email Address and Phone Number
5. Signature and Date
