ONEIDA COUNTY DEMOCRATIC COMMITTEE ELECTS LEADERSHIP TEAM FOR 2026-2028 TERM


Whitesboro, NY — The Oneida County Democratic Committee recently held its reorganizational meeting and is proud to announce the election of its leadership team for the 2026–2028 term.

Mitchell G. Ford was re-elected to serve as Committee Chair. Joining Ford on the Executive Committee are a dedicated slate of officers:

  • Vice Chair: Tom Gehrig

  • Treasurer: Amela Hrustic

  • Secretary: Chelsi Thibodeaux

The City of Utica Democratic Committee elected Heather Wasielewski to serve as Utica City Chair, while the City of Rome Democratic Committee re-elected Angela Topi as Rome City Chair. Bill Thickston was also re-elected to serve as Chair of Towns.

The leadership team brings together experienced local advocates and fresh voices committed to strengthening the Democratic Party throughout Oneida County.

Residents are also encouraged to stop by the new coordinated campaign offices at 1 Hopper Street in Utica and 209 N. Washington Street in Rome, where they can pick up lawn signs and canvassing packets to help reach voters in neighborhoods across Oneida County.
