“Vice President Kamala Harris has made a fantastic choice in selecting Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate. Governor Walz is a true American who brings a wealth of experience, a deep commitment to public service, and a proven track record of fighting for middle-class families to this ticket.

Governor Walz's leadership in Minnesota has demonstrated a deep commitment to American values. His background as a teacher, football coach, father and union member underscores his deep understanding of the challenges facing everyday Americans – young and old. His longtime service in the Army National Guard, as a Congressional Representative and as Governor shows his unwavering and unconditional love for our country making him an ideal partner for Vice President Harris.

As a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention from New York’s 22nd Congressional District, it was an honor to officially vote for Vice-President Harris to be the Democratic nominee in November. The choice of Governor Walz as running mate further exemplifies why she is the right candidate to lead us forward. Together, they will work tirelessly to realize the promise and potential of America.
