STATEMENT ON VICE PRESIDENT KAMALA HARRIS' PICK OF GOVERNOR TIM WALZ AS RUNNING MATE

Yesterday, President Joe Biden made a historic announcement, announcing his decision not to seek reelection and offering his full support and endorsement to Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee for President of the United States. This marks a significant moment for the Democratic Party and our country, highlighting President Biden’s unwavering selflessness and commitment to prioritizing the interests of the United States and everyday Americans.President Biden’s tenure will be remembered for its numerous achievements, including leading the nation out of the COVID-19 pandemic through the American Rescue Plan Act, making historic investments in infrastructure with the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, enacting significant climate legislation through the Inflation Reduction Act, and promoting domestic semiconductor manufacturing with the CHIPS and Science Act.
